What a month!

Hi all -

  Last month, we crested a new, major milestone.  Over 1000 people downloaded a kindle copy of The Flame Within last month!  Welcome to all the new readers, and I hope you enjoy the book.

  Even when you remove the several day "free" promotion, this was still the best selling month yet.  I truly appreciate the support.  This is not something that makes me rich, nor is that my goal.  I just enjoy these characters, this story, and the world, and I can only hope that I translate that to prose in a way that gives you an enjoyable way to pass some time.

  Regarding book 3, One Shall Fall, I'm 3-4% done.  I know.  Probably not as much progress as you'd like to see, but unfortunately my day job does come calling on a frequent and regular basis.  I was able to effectively weave the plot recap of the previous books using an interesting device, and I believe you'll enjoy it.

ITS FREE, ITS FREE

Hi all -

  Silently made "The Flame Within" a free Kindle download through Amazon a day and a half ago, and it's already seen over 600 downloads!  Welcome new readers, and I hope you enjoy the book.  It will remain a free download through this Sunday, 10/7, so please share it with others as well.

  Regarding book 3, One Shall Fall, the outline has been *mostly* done for about a month, and I've started work on the draft.  I would say how many pages in, but it's a low enough number where I don't quite want to post it.  However, I am making daily progress and I'll keep everyone updated.  I've been working on this series for so long, it's an odd feeling to know it's coming to a close (though still a good bit of work away).

  I say the outline is *mostly* completed because I haven't quite figured out how the falling action after the series climax will proceed.  I've got two options I'm toying with, but it really depends on how the characters develop through this next part of the story.  It'll go where they take it.

Update

Heya all -

  I know, I know.  Very long time, no post.  I decided to (unannounced) take a little time off from writing after finishing In Hyval's Wake.

  For those of you who have read/are reading/are planning to read the new book, I hope you enjoy/ed the growth of your favorite characters and the story line.  I'm finishing up the outline for One Shall Fall and actually have a handful of pages already put together.  Should be starting the real work soon.

That's right, folks.  The day has come!  In Hyval's Wake is now available in paperback and Kindle versions.  Phew!  Quite a weight off the old shoulders, honestly.

Apologies for Slow Posting

So I've been a little bit lax in updates lately.  But I did have a reason.  I wanted to make sure I had some true news before I posted again.

Well, I have news.  Book production is in process!  I will keep you all posted as the steps continue.  Right now it's in the cover and book design phase.  Should be a matter of weeks at this point.
